This website brings together two different flavours of bedtime story: lively, improvised storytelling events, and gentle, swirly recordings of a written story that just might help you drift off to sleep.

The live events continue to grow and gain momentum, speaking to a yearning for community that has been with me as long as I can remember.

As for the story of Paddy Taavi, it first demanded to be written seven years ago, when five chapters flowed from my fingertips in a way nothing else ever has. After a long pause, it came knocking at the door again last year. It is a tale of love, longing and adventure, combining an overarching narrative with stand-alone episodes - stories that Paddy Taavi needs to hear at vital moments of his journey.

The music you can hear at the start and end of each episode is by the amazing composer and harpist Ailie Robertson, and the wonderful cover art is by Phil O’Farrell.

When I’m not writing or recording these stories, I spend my time supporting individuals and groups in matters of the heart, through the wonderful abandofbrothers, and also as a spiritual counsellor and workshop leader, focusing mainly on grief, love, relationships and intimacy.
